contextual seriation   a method of relative dating pioneered by Flinders Petrie in the 19th century which artifacts are arranged according to frequencies their co-occurrence specific contexts (usually burials)
contour interval   the vertical spacing of lines on a topographic map e. g 10 m 100ft etc..
contour line   a on map connecting points of equal elevation

Convex   A term to describe an outline which curves outward Synonymous with excurvate and the opposite of concave Suggested that this only be used basal edges
