Description :

The Tajhat Palace is a historic palace located in the city of Rangpur, Bangladesh. Built in the early 20th century by a local zamindar, Raja Gopal Lal Roy, the palace is now a museum and popular tourist attraction. The palace is a two-storied building with a large central courtyard. The architecture of the palace is an eclectic mix of Hindu, Mughal and British styles. The interior of the palace is decorated with intricate plasterwork, and the walls are adorned with paintings and sculptures.

The large central courtyard is surrounded by several pillared pavilions and terraces, with a view of the surrounding gardens. The palace also houses a library with a collection of rare books and manuscripts. The palace grounds are also home to a number of historic monuments and sculptures, such as a 19th-century temple dedicated to Rama, Lakshmana and Sita. There is also a mosque built by Raja Gopal Lal Roy, and a bell tower dating back to the 18th century. The palace grounds are a popular picnic spot and are often used for cultural events, such as musical performances, plays and dance performances.
