Description :

The Picasso Museum is an art museum located in the heart of Barcelona, Spain. It is dedicated to the works of the Spanish artist, Pablo Picasso. The museum houses a great deal of the artist's work, including over 4,000 paintings, sculptures, drawings, and other items, making it one of the largest collections of Picasso art in the world. The museum was opened in 1963 and is housed in five palaces in the El Born district. It occupies the Palau Aguilar, Palau del Baró de Castellet, Palau Meca, Palau Finestres, and the Palau del Baró de Mullet. The museum also contains a library, a shop, and a cafe. The museum displays a variety of Picasso's works, ranging from his early work to the later works he produced in Barcelona.

One of the most notable works in the museum is Las Meninas, which was painted in 1957. Other works include the mural Guernica, which was painted in 1937, and the portrait of Dora Maar. The museum also features a number of temporary exhibitions, which rotate throughout the year. These exhibitions offer visitors a chance to see works by other famous artists, as well as exclusive works by Picasso. The museum is open seven days a week, and admission is free for those under 16 years old. The museum also offers a variety of educational activities and workshops to help visitors learn more about the artist and his work.
