In 1935 Frank Warner wedded his wife Anne Locher, who shared his welfare in folk material. Locher accompanied Warner on many of his holiday tours and finally joined him in singing and touring. Once, while on vacation, they came in contact with Frank Proffitt. Proffitt who was a highly gifted folk artist and instrument maker, taught them a song by the name of Tom Dooley, which later became a national hit in the 1950s. As the song became a nationwide hit, the Warner's gave an tremendous amount of credit to Proffitt since he aided to their success while touring.
In the mean time, Warner continual to progress with his YMCA work. In 1952, he was selected general secretary for operations in Nassau and Suffolk counties,
