It lies in the north-west of Sichaun state. It is made up of snow-capped peaks versus the easternmost of all the Chinese glaciers.
Along with its mountain landscape, diverse forest ecosystems can be present.It also has spectacular limestone formations, waterfalls and hot springs.
It contains a population of endangered animals which includes the huge panda and the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey.
