Description :

The Florida Holocaust Museum (FHM) is a museum dedicated to preserving the memory of the Holocaust, educating future generations about its impact, and inspiring current generations to take action against bigotry and hatred. The museum was founded in 1992 by survivor and philanthropist, Walter Loebenberg, and is located in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The FHM is one of the largest Holocaust museums in the United States, with more than 30,000 square feet of exhibit space. Visitors to the museum can explore more than 80,000 artifacts and documents that tell the story of the Holocaust. Permanent exhibits include a rare collection of artifacts, photographs, and personal items, as well as interactive exhibits that tell the stories of individuals who lived through the Holocaust. The museum also features a library and archives, which contain more than 35,000 books and documents related to the Holocaust.

The FHM also offers educational programs and events to help educate the public about the Holocaust. Programs include tours of the museum, lectures, and workshops, as well as special events throughout the year, such as International Holocaust Remembrance Day and Yom HaShoah. Additionally, the museum provides resources to teachers and students, including curriculum materials and online resources.
