Description :

The Beijing Man Site Museum is a museum located in Zhoukoudian Town, Fangshan District, Beijing. It is a National-level Cultural Heritage Protection Unit and a national 4A-level scenic spot. The Beijing Man Site Museum was built on the site of the fossil remains of the primitive human ancestor Beijing Man found in Zhoukoudian. It is the first museum in the world dedicated to the discovery, research and exchange of human evolution.

The museum houses more than 1,500 cultural relics, including the fossil skull of Beijing Man, stone tools, the stone platform of Beijing Man, animal fossils, and various kinds of cultural relics, photographs, etc. It is a window for people to understand the history of human evolution and the origin of the Chinese nation. In addition, the museum has a permanent exhibition hall, a temporary exhibition hall, a multi-functional conference hall, a theme theater and an education center, which can provide visitors with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the origin and evolution of human beings.
