Nearly for 50 years she has been spending time in investigating and protecting the 16 mysterious ancient drawings called the Nazca lines.
She published her theories in the book The Mystery of the Desert, which had a mixed reply from scholars. She used the profits from the book to operation for preservation of the Nazca desert and to hire guards for the property and assistants for her work.
