  • In 1953 Dr. Clark discovered an incredible site,Kalambo Falls. This was a single drop,722 foot waterfall on the frontier between Zambia and Tanzania.

  • In the 1990's he found fossil hominids that date from 4 million years ago. These fossils were the earliest hominid ancestors.

    1948: Founder, Member and Secretary of Northern Rhodesia National Monuments Committee.

    1965: Fellow, American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

    1972: Huxley Medalist, Royal Anthropological Institute in London.
