The goal of the Baldwin County Development Commission is the conservation and protection of buildings of historic and architectural value in the historic and protection districts of Baldwin County, and the maintenance of the typical character of these districts. The Baldwin County Historic Development Commission's twelve members are appointed by the Baldwin County Commission for four-year terms and their responsibilities include awarding historic building markers. The Baldwin County Historic Commission meets monthly as determined by the Baldwin County Historic Development Commission and/or its Chairman.
