Flaking, Percussion   A flaking technique which involved the striking of a preform with billet hammerstone or other tool This usually left hinge step fracture
Flaking, Pressure   A flaking technique which involved the removal of flakes by pressure against edge a preform with pointed implement or tool such as bone antler
Flaking, Primary   Initial flaking usually broad shallow random percussion used to roughly shape a preform into desired outline for tool or projectile
