• The U.S.S.R.-From Charismatic Sect to Bureaucratic Society in which she argued that Communism as a charismatic bureaucracy is distinct from Western legal-rational bureaucracy.

• Max Weber's Two Conceptions of Bureaucracy ,analyzed Max Weber's theory of bureaucracy and used historical examples to illustrate that contrary to Weber's theory, charismatic bureaucracies do not evolve into legal-rational political systems.
