The Florida Museum of Natural History historical archaeology program has had active research projects ongoing in St. Augustine, Florida since 1973, and in Hispaniola since 1979.

The Caribbean Archaeology Program at the Florida Museum of Natural History has four main components: Field Research, Collections, the Bullen Bibliography of Caribbean Archaeology, and Public Education.
The Australian Society for Historical Archaeology
Historical Archaeology was founded in 1970 to promote the study of historical archaeology in Australia. In 1991 the Society was extended to include New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region generally, and its name was changed to the Australasian Society for Historical Archaeology.

Treasury of Atreus at Mycenae
The Treasury of Atreus - also known as the Tomb of Agamemnon - is the largest and most impressive of the nine tholos tombs at Mycenae. The location of the Atreus Tomb has intrigued archaeologists for many years but by studying the landscape, the courses of the ancient roads and the various lines of sight at Mycenae, archaeologist David Mason believes he has found out why such an unusual and distinctive site was chosen for the tomb.
