The City of London Archaeological Society was founded in 1966 to support an active appreciation of archaeology, mostly within the City of London and its environs. COLAS is a Registered Charity (No. 277386), and is affiliated with the Council for British Archaeology (CBA), London and Middlesex Archaeological Society (LAMAS), and Rescue – The British Archaeological Trust. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the archaeology and history of London.
